10 Reasons I love Cycle Classes

  1. Get lost in the music

    • Cycle class gives you all the feels; intense music, softer music, slow/fast… it all depends on what leg of the ride you’re doing

    • Think of it this way; it’s like getting LIT in a club…minus the alcohol & hangover & the drama

  2. Built in motivational speech

    • Most of the classes I take have an awesome teacher throwing around quotes, and uplifting messages, and encouraging you the entire time.

  3. Judge free zone

    • Literally, the room is DARK, so no-one can really see what you’re doing, and everyone is facing forward so it’s pretty hard to just let your eyes wander… you’re also pretty focused and busy on getting through the next leg … so just let loose.

  4. It’s a full body workout

    • It is obviously a leg workout, but also a booty toning sesh, arm defining workout, and your engaging your abs during the entire class.

  5. It’s a time to release negative energy

    • Escape from our busy lives, get rid of toxic things you may be holding onto. It’s 45 minutes to just set aside your work life, family life, personal life, bills, drama, responsibities ... and just focus on you and your body and mind.

  6. You can dance unnashamed, & move to the beat.

    • Even if you can’t dance (trust me I can’t) no-one cares… you just dip when they say dip, tap when they say tap, and push when they say push. You’ll get the hang of it super quick.

  7. Let your wild competitive side out

    • It gets pretty competitive in there, so you can go ALL out and no-one will mind. You can try to push yourself compared to your last mileage or to your speed and endurance, or you can compete with a friend.

  8. You don’t have to think for once

    • This may sounds weird… but sometimes I just don’t want to have to use my brain to; push myself, power through, orr come up with a workout, and a playlist…and this and that. You walk in, the workout and music is pre decided by the instructor. They are also super encouraging. I mean they are saying “You got this, keep going”… are you really going to say, “naaa im good, thanks thought”. NOPE, you do it anyways.

  9. Build accountability

    • Let’s be honest we’re all notorious for saying we’re going to workout, but then NOT actually do it. I force myself to sign up for classes the night before, because once you’re on that list you know the instructor saw your name and then you’re way less likely to bail, also the cancelation fee isn’t chill lol.

  10. You’ll leave on a high

    • I’m not quite sure if it’s one specific thing or not… but no matter what I leave cycle in a better mood then when I walked in. AND that’s after 45 minutes of hard work. I think it’s the community, music, energy, intensity, fun, positive vibe, and endoprhins combined together that just work!
